During my fall minis this year I got to meet E.  E is the tiniest, cutest little girl I’ve ever met.  I love that when I met her, she was clinging to mommy and daddy.  And for awhile there I think mom and dad didn’t think we’d get any photos past this……

E would not smile, or let go of dad’s hand.  But after pulling out some of my silliness I managed to get this…….

Notice, no parent hand or body parts in the photo.  We were on a roll!   By the time our session was ending, E was smiling, laughing, jumping, running, giving me high-fives and posing.  I had a blast at our session!  It was great to meet you E

B and his family feel like family friends to me.  I’ve been shooting B since he was a newborn.  He’s the lil’ guy on my blog and website curled up naked with the Michigan football.  I love our yearly sessions because they are always in the fall which means we can spend the whole time talking Michigan football.  At least this year was a bit more pleasant then the last few years.

As if I didn’t get enough fill of B and his family, Maddie started dance lessons with B’s mom this fall.  Yup, I get to see “Ms. Melissa” every Monday night.  In fact, Maddie was upset when I wouldn’t let her come with to “Ms. Melissa’s photo session”.

This session is always a favorite.  And I always look forward to it every year!  Till next fall…..errrr, I mean Monday.

Now for this last photo, I was cracking up laughing as were B’s parents when he sprung this pose on us.  I feel like I need to put his name and graduation year in the corner for him to pass these out at school!

Fall Mini Sessions

This year I will be offering two rounds of mini sessions; September sessions in downtown Northville, and October sessions in Ann Arbor.

September Mini Sessions

• September 18th
• Downtown Northville
• Cost – $100
• Includes a 20 minute photo session. Please no clothing changes. Siblings may need to book back to back sessions if more images are desired. You will be guaranteed 12 images to chose from (more may be included).

October Mini Sessions

• October 23rd
• Ann Arbor – Law Quad or Downtown
• Cost – $100

My poor neglected blog.  It’s amazing what 2 kids and a full time teaching job can do!  Needless to say, I’m back.  And I’m happy to share my session from a few weeks ago with Miss S.  Now, I’ve been shooting her since she was a tiny little baby.  Now she’s turned into a big 5 year old!  Where does the time go?  Miss S’s family moved away a few years ago, but sometimes when they pop into town,  I get to have fun at a session with them.  I’d also like to share that when this family books a session, it’s a lock that we will have a heat wave.  This session in May…I think it was 90!  A session I did for them a few year back in October….90!  So I think that the B Family needs to start booking sessions in Dec/Jan when we’d all love a heat wave

For my husband, January through April is his busy time (he’s a CPA).  For me as a teacher, September and May/June are my busy times.  And as a photographer, Fall is by far the busiest time of the year.  The beautiful Michigan colors, the need for photos for the holidays, the cool crisp autumn air…..fall is nearly upon us.

I will be doing full session throughout September and October on limited weekends.  Please contact me ASAP if interested.  In addition to the full sessions, I will also be doing two rounds of mini sessions again this fall.

Round one of holiday mini sessions will be held at Mill Race in Northville on October 11th. The sessions will be scheduled every 30 minutes.

For $175, you get a 20 minute photo session and your choice of 25 Holiday cards (from a selection of premade designs) or an 8×10 image. You will be shown up to 10 images from the session to make your selections. Portraits, additional cards, bulk image discounts and albums will be available for purchase as well.

The Holiday Mini Session gives you the chance to get an updated image for Holiday cards and gift giving, without locking yourself into the cost and time of a full session.

P was the last of my mini sessions in the studio.  So by the time this poor little guy showed up, it was probably 200 degrees outside.  P had a smile that was infectious.  He LOVES the iPhone much like my own Madeline.  It was reassuring to see I’m not the only parent out there with an addicted preschooler, LOL!  One thing P really loved was looking at his image after I took it.  I’d run over and show him and he’d say “That’s P”.  It was very cute.  I wanna thank P’s entourage.  You kept the smiles flowing and helped me get some great images!  P, I hope I get to see you again.  Maybe you can teach me how to bowl on my iPhone

So it seems I managed to pick the hottest day of the year to hold the mini sessions in my “new” studio.  All of the parents and kids were great sports as not only was it 90+ degrees, the elevator was broken so we had to walk up the 4 flights to the studio.  We managed to raise $40 for the “Let’s Get This” foundation, which will donate 20 books to needy children.  Don’t worry if you miss this round of minis.  I think I’ll be doing a round this fall as well

Now onto B.  He is the naked baby in my blog header.  He’s all over my blog and website as well.  It was nice to see him again, now almost 2 years old, where has the time gone!  And it was nice to see his mom as well.  I have to say, this was my first round of sessions in my studio.  I absolutely LOVE it!  I think the kids do too.  Every single one manged to spend 1/2 the session doing laps running around it, LOL!

I love anytime I get to do a session w/ the C family.  I’ve been photographing the boys since C was 8mos old!  Now he’s a big 3 year old.  It was time for us to do W’s 1 year photos.  Brady was actually due on W’s first birthday, so we had to hold out a bit for his session.

W was much like his older brother C, on the move for his 1 year session.  But I did manage to capture some great photos of him.  I also got to sneak a few of older brother’s C and A.  Mom, I hope these were worth the wait
