Part of my “big” summer news is that I plan to launch another photography business. This one is completely dedicated to seniors. As a high school teacher, I think seniors are my most favorite age. They are in that stage of life where they are excited and scared. They teeter on the edge of adolescence and adulthood.

All that said, I need some teenage models for my new website. I will offer free mini shoots (20-40 minutes). These will be outdoor sessions. If you are interested, please drop me an email! You can contact me through my website.

On Saturday I did a session with L. She was all kinds of smiles! Such a good sport through the 4 outfit changes. I want to hire L’s dad to be my personal umbrella handler! He was a great sport about moving the big umbrella around to create shade for L. And I think I need to hire her mom to be my color consultant! Just LOOK at the colors! I love bright colors and these photos show you why!

I finally got to play w/ all my images from Chicago. Oh my, what wonderful models we had. I narrowed it down to 24. I’ll spare showing all 24 on here. But I do want to share some.

Next more of the models. First the seniors. I’ll admit, when I first saw them I thought they were too funky. But they are absolutely beautiful through the camera lens!

Now onto the sweet little girls, C & A-C. I LOVE LOVE LOVE their freckles. And they were so sweet.


I’ll spare showing the others, LOL! It’s super hard to stop. I want to show all of them!

Before I jetted off to Chicago, I got to meet K. She made sure to keep her mom on her toes the whole session. Poor mom had to bounce the basket K was in for a good LONG time before she’d give us these lovely peaceful sleeping baby images! And even then she fussed when mom stopped. But I think the effort was all worth it

Sunday through Tuesday I was in Chicago at a workshop held by Audrey Woulard. It was amazing! I learned so much from watching her shoot. We got the opportunity to shoot some too. Here are just a few outtakes! I’ll add more as I get to edit more.

I got the pleasure of meeting B this past weekend. B was filled with smiles, laid back and easy going. B also has one of the coolest rooms I’ve ever seen! I had to share this photo of B’s eyes. Look at those BIG brown eyes! B is going to be a lady killer

This month has been crazy. At the beginning of the month I had slew of sessions and a charity event. I’ve finally recovered from all of that. Unfortunately last week my grandfather who was 88 passed away. I was able to see him (and more importantly Miss Madeline was able to) the weekend before he died. Just three weeks prior, my grandparents celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

I want to thank all of my clients for their understanding during that difficult time for my family.

Summer sessions are starting to fill up. There is some flexibility to my calendar so it doesn’t hurt to ask. There have been inquires on my fall dates, I hope to release them REALLY soon!
